Assistance with Daily Personal Activities (High Intensity)

People who require more intensive care than that of a standard level can rest assured knowing specialised assistance is available. These services range from simple tasks like helping with dressing and showering, to respiratory or stoma management for those with chronic medical conditions. Home modifications are also provided to ease mobility throughout the home as well as behaviour management support if needed.

Organising high level care for yourself or a loved one can feel overwhelming, but government-subsidised services are available through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Accessing these services can enable you to be safe, supported and cared for, and enhance your ability to be independent and enjoy quality of life.

NDIS High Intensity Support empowers individuals with high care needs to experience greater independence and more meaningful lives. Specialised support workers and highly-experienced clinicians offer their expertise to ensure a high standard of care.

It can include supports such as:

  • Complex bowel care and stoma care
  • Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastronomy (PEG) feeding
  • Tracheostomy care and ventilation
  • Daily catheter maintenance
  • Administering medication via injections
  • Diabetes management
  • Seizure monitoring
  • Wound care and pressure care
  • Mealtime management
  • Support to manage challenging behaviour
